“Choose Your Keyboard” investigates how keyboards are used across different creative and professional practices. The project explores the diversity of user needs and emphasizes the relationship between input devices and the tasks they support.
For this purpose, we focused on the brand Work Louder, recognized for its modular and adaptable products, to provide a consistent framework for comparison.
The project is structured around three thematic scenarios: Gaming, Designing, and Developing. Each scenario incorporates mechanisms that reflect its domain: Gaming emphasizes W, A, S, D keys, Designing highlights common shortcuts such as Cmd + S, and Developing engages the full keyboard, represented on a counter. Layout, color, and structural variations are used to differentiate the environments.
This approach allows users to experience the unique spatial and functional qualities of each practice. By making these differences tangible, the project highlights the ways input devices shape interaction, creativity, and workflow in unexpected and relatable ways.
