My area of interest lies in the so-called Inconvenience Space, exploring how social, technological, and ecological changes relate to – and challenge – design.

Accordingly, my teaching sits at the intersection of (beyond)-human-centered design, critical communication design, and experimental exploration of emerging technologies – such as Generative AI (GenAI) or Extended Reality (XR) – in speculative design scenarios.

Since October 2024, I am Head of the Bachelor Program Graphic Design and Visual Communication (GDVC) at the Whitecliffe University of Applied Sciences in Berlin.

This website serves as an archive of my own research but also the applied research with students at the university.

Repository of my teaching and research topics:

✺ In/convenient Communication and Interaction Design projects from teaching:

✺ In/convenient Futures and Speculative Design projects from teaching:

✺ In/convenient Thesis Topics from Whitecliffe UoAS:

Prior to my professorship, I lectured Design Strategies and Visual Interface Design in the the B.A. Interface Design at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam and Interaction Design in the B.A. Industrial Design and M.A. Interaction Design at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg.
