My area of interest lies in the Inconvenience Space, exploring how social, technological, and ecological changes relate to – and challenge – design.
Accordingly, my teaching sits at the intersection of (beyond)-human-centered design, speculative design, and experimental exploration of emerging technologies, such as Generative AI (GenAI), Extended Reality (XR), or or Haptic Interfaces.

Before transitioning fully into academia, I spent 17 years in the Creative Industry, collaborating with international clients from a range of sectors, e.g. Audi, Giesecke & Devrient, Merck, Pharmatechnik, Sanofi, University of Ulm, and Vorwerk. My commercial work has received multiple design awards.
