Research Question:
How can the attractiveness of the backflip be changed by modifying the proportions of its performer?

LOOP examines the concept of attractiveness through the thesis that the performance of a backflip can serve as a metric for desirability. Various animal characters demonstrate their unique interpretations of the backflip movement. These characters are deliberately designed without human facial features to maintain focus on bodily movement rather than expression.
The interactive installation invites visitors to create composite characters by selecting and combining different anatomical elements. Participants then observe their assembled creations perform a backflip sequence. An AI system analyzes the movement quality and assigns an attractiveness score, quantifying the aesthetic appeal of each unique performance.
'LOOP' was exhibited at Berlin Design Week 2025.
